Bob primarily represents commercial banks and other major lending institutions in structuring, documenting and negotiating all types of secured, unsecured, real estate financings, and the resolution of problem loans. Bob manages our Chicago office. His practice encompasses a wide range of lending transactions, including the representation of agents in complex multi-party financings, loan workouts, and restructurings. Such financings include large asset-based transactions, letter of credit finance, project construction finance, and real estate portfolio loans.
Bob is involved with the firm’s commercial, retail, and industrial leasing practice. He represents landlords and tenants throughout the Northeast in connection with leasing, ground leasing, ground lease financing, and sale/leaseback transactions to facilitate the financing of various projects.
Bob's initial training and practice focused on commercial loan and real estate workouts and restructurings, which coincided with the economic downturn early in his career. Throughout the late 1980's and early 1990's Bob also was actively involved in a broad range of commercial loan and real estate workouts and restructurings, including office, condominium, residential, retail, and resort properties.
Bob is active in various community organizations and is currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Big Brother and Big Sister Association of Greater Boston.
